The hotel is absolutely ugly and the pictures don't correspond to reality. THe rooms are dirty and the presonal is absolutely unpleasent. The breakfast is absolutely out of european standards. Guys if you want my suggestion.... Avoid this hotel !!!!

The reasonably priced room was comfortable and with a nice view to the backyard where local people walked their dogs etc. Also there was a fast internet connection in the room. The neighbourhood was nice and it was safe to walk on the streets even at night. In a walking distance there was several places to eat.

The carpet on the room's floor was a bit dirty. The breakfast was quite simple, but for this price I should not complain about it. There's a tram stop in front of the hotel, but only to one direction so for the other direction you have to walk a bit.

There was no hot water when I came there. не было центральной горячей воды, а локальный бойлер не работал

City Hotel Comfitel is located only a few blocks from Obvodny Kanal metro station and offers very easy access to Nevsky Prospekt and the center. The breakfast - though unvaried - was ample and filling. The staff were helpful and mostly spoke English. The shower was hot and strong. The bed was comfortable.

The only real problem was the lack of an elevator and the noise from outside traffic (which was sometimes very loud).

Location is very suitable - beside bus stops. Room was comfortable and cleav.

I thought the buffet breaskfast could have had more choices of foods, I missed not having an exercise room or spa. Pity city maps etc were not provided in English

room very comfortable, clean. maids came religiously every day to tidy and replenish toiletries. had a little fridge in room, great for storing drinks, snacks etc. had air conditioning, a blessing as very hot whilst there. had double glazing so very peaceful and as on my own felt very safe! i was there for my son,s wedding and had changed to this hotel as couldn,t get dates i wanted in centre hotel! glad i did, staff at city comfitel were lovely and really tried to help me despite my awful attempt at russian! take a phrasebook, the lonely planet range is excellent and amusing to boot! had a hairdryer in room, iron and board on land ing outside room, staff even let me store smoked fish in hotel freezer which id been given as a gift! hotel has little cafe to get light meals, drinks during day, tv, nice to relax in, staff have some english so you can usually be understood, sign language and pointing help too and laughter! would stay there again, close to metro , only 25 roubles to go anywhere one way, incredible! we have a lot to learn from them! enjoy, my memories will stay with me forever!

Our stay was pleasant. Breakfast is complementary and standard. Rooms are reasonably big for 3 adults with some adjustments.Toilets are neat and clean.

The hotel does not have any lift; so if you are not well or has heavy luggage ask for a lower floor room at the time of booking. If you have accessories to charge then come prepared with enough plugs and adapters since they do not have it.

Room outfit met european standards. Menu in canteen was for me satisfactory. Hotel personnel is helpful, friendly and can comunicate you english.

Noises coming from the street side can be irritating however the cost to quality factor compensates it.

Comfortable hotel with rather big rooms equipped with bath tubes. Extremely friendly and nice staff! Attractive prices. Not bad location. Free parking opportunities.

Good transport connections. You can take a bus from the airport (39 or 13) to the "Moskowskaya" underground station and then take bus #3 to "Rastannaya street". Full trip takes about an hour. Close to underground station "Obvodnoy kanal". About 30 minutes from the hotel to city center by the underground. Place very nice and clean. Room very modern and comfortable. Air conditioner in the room. Wired internet for free (we had our own long cable to reach the bed). At least 5 food stores and 3 pharmacies around. For non-russian citizens state migration registration is for free (at least we did not pay anything extra - unlike in other hotels). Staff very polite and helpful.

We got a flash deal from Booked.net with over 50% discount so I am not in a position to complain. Still the booking web-page said "Free late check-out until 4PM". Eventually we checked-out as we planned at 14-00 and noone ever said "no" to us but to secure this option I had to contact the staff for 5 time.This was not a problem but not very comfortable. Still the place is good esp. for the price we`ve paid.

The breakfast was rather poor. The usual bad products, poor bread, nontasting marmalade, bad juice etc. There was no airconditioning in our room,and we couldn't sleep with open windows, because of noice from the road.
